Kara Kızılkuyruk (Black Redstart)

3 Mart Perşembe sabahı Moda Deniz Klübü otoparkının üzerindeki yamaçta daha önce hiç görmemiş olduğum yukarıdaki ufaklık ile karşılaştım. Seri çekimde makinalı tüfek gibi ses çıkaran Canon Eos 7D ile 36 kare fotoğrafını çektiğim halde uçup gitmedi fakat sadece üzerine tünediği beton sütundan bir ağacın dalına geçiş yaparak “sürekli profilden alma, yoksa beni tanıyamayacaksın, biraz da kuyruğumu çek” dercesine bana arkasını dönüp turuncu renkli kuyruğunu gösterdi :) İyi ki de öyle yapmış, çünkü elimdeki bu fotoğraflara rağmen kimliğini teşhis etmekte biraz zorlandım. Fakat sonuçta Türkiye’nin Anonim Kuşları (TRAKUŞ) ve The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) sitelerindeki bilgiler ve resimler sayesinde yeni keşfimin bir Kara Kızılkuyruk (Phoenicurus ochruros) olduğunu anladım. İsminde “kara” (siyah) renge atıf yapılmasının nedeni erkeğinin başı, boynu ve göğsünün koyu gri-siyah tonlarda olması. RSPB sitesindeki erkek ve dişi Kara Kızılkuyruk illüstrasyonlarına bakılırsa, yukarıda gördüğünüz ufaklık güzel ve zarif bir hanımefendi olsa gerek.

On March 3 Thursday morning, on the hillside above the Moda Sea Club car park, I met with this beauty I had never seen before. Although I shot 36 frames with my Canon Eos 7D which sounds like machine-gun burst in serial mode, it didn’t fly away but only changed its position by jumping from the cement column onto the branch of a tree, turned its back and showed me its orange coloured tail as if it was saying “don’t take my pictures only in profile, you won’t be able to identify me, see also my tail” :)  I should thank for this help because despite the photos I had difficulty to identify this bird. But after having visited the websites of the Turkey’s Anonymous Birds (TRAKUS) and The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) I understood that my new discovery was a Black Redstart (Phoenicurus ochruros). It’s called “black” because the head, neck and chest of the male have dark grey-black tones. According to the male and female Black Redstart illustrations on the RSPB website, the little one you see hereabove should be a beautiful and elegant lady.
